CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS —
David Lee Moore died July 17, 2012, at Cambridge Springs Nursing Home where he resided for the past few months.
He was born Dec. 29, 1943, in Meadville, to Florence Moore.
He lived at Polk Center from 1948 to 1964; the Crawford County Home from 1964 to 1985; and in a group home operated by The Arc from 1985 until a few months ago.
He is survived by his best friend, Ed Eastman, who loved and supported him over the past 20 years; and his many caretakers at the Arc.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
David had a full life with many friends. He loved visiting with the people and friends he made at the Antique Barber Shop, his bank, the Meadville Public Library and Mt. Hope Golf Course.
He had a passion for Elvis Presley and Dean Martin music.
He loved to talk about American presidents and flags of every country.
He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and loved visiting with all the people he met along the way.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Meadville Public Library, 848 N. Main St., Meadville, Pa. 16335; or The Arc of Crawford County Inc., 222 Chestnut St., Meadville, Pa. 16335.
Calling hours will be Friday from noon to 1 p.m., followed by his funeral at 1 p.m. at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville.
Arrangements are in the care of Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory.
