APOLLO —
Jenna Prusia, 16, of Apollo, died tragically Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, as a result of injuries she sustained in a sledding accident.
She was born March 14, 1996, in Rochester, N.Y., a beloved daughter of Duane and Victoria (Johnson) Prusia of Apollo.
Jenna was an 11th-grade student at Kiski Area High School, Apollo. She was a proud member of the National Honor Society, Kiski Varsity Volleyball Team and the Kiski Area Concert Band. She was a member of Cornerstone Ministries, Export, and the Cornerstone Youth Group. She had a passion for music. She would sit at the piano and play for hours. She played guitar with her brother, Jared, and listened to music always. One of her favorite places to be was Summer’s Best Two Weeks, a Christian sports camp. Her faith in Christ was always strengthened by being there. She loved Jesus Christ and her family, and she often talked about being in Heaven one day.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Fred H. Johnson.
Jenna will be sadly missed and is survived by her loving and devoted family, her parents, Duane and Victoria; brother, Jared Prusia, and best friend and twin sister, Ashton Prusia; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Johnson; paternal grandparents, Paul and Kathy Prusia of Blooming Valley; uncles, aunts, cousins and many special friends.
Jenna as described by her twin, Ashton: “Brave, funny, outgoing, spirited, loving, kind and beautiful. My best friend. My other half. There are not enough words to describe who you are and what you mean to me. I’m so thankful to know that you are with God in Heaven and have it way better than any of us do here. No one forget the way she changed our lives for the better.”
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Jenna’s memory be made to Summer’s Best Two Weeks, 111 Lake Gloria Road, Boswell, Pa. 15531. Please write “Jenna Prusia” on check memo line. We covet your prayers for our family at this time.
