HOLBROOK, Mass. — Mildred B. Schneider, 87, of Holbrook, Mass., formerly of Conneaut Lake, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, from complications of the flu, at South Shore Hospital, Weymouth, Mass., surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Andover, Mass., July 19, 1925, a daughter of William and Davina Auchterlonie Boyd. She married Alan Schneider. He preceded her in death April 25, 1997.

She was affiliated with St. Brigid Church, Meadville.

Mildred loved gardening and reading. Her greatest joy was singing with her siblings and children.

Survivors include four daughters, Sharyn Chisholm of Holbrook, Kathleen Beaton (Dan) of Oldfort, Tenn., Melissa Whitener (Luther) of Conneaut Lake and Margaret Schneider of West Harwich, Mass.; two sons, Frederick Schneider (Mary) of West Barnstable, Mass., and A. Jeffrey Schneider (Peggy Lee) of Nantucket, Mass.

She was preceded in death by a son, William Smith.

There are no calling hours.

The funeral will be at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bartlett-Santos Funeral Home, Plymouth, Mass.
