Janice L. Roberts, 71, of Atlantic Road, Atlantic (East Fallowfield Township), passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at her residence.
Janice was born June 6, 1941, a daughter of the late Stanley and Ethel Adams Snodgrass. She had been employed by the Greenville Savings Bank for 14 years, having retired Jan. 1, 2013.
She had attended Greenville Missionary Alliance Church. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling, having participated in many local leagues. Janice enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking, but always found the time to be spent with her family to be the most rewarding.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela L. Miller and her husband, Derek, of Cochranton; three sons, Doug Roberts of Greenville, Russell Roberts and his companion, Marcy, of Greenville, and Jeffery Roberts and his wife, Amy, of Clarks Mills; two sisters, June Snodgrass of Greenville, and Janet Hartley and her husband, Robert, of Greenville; three sisters-in-law, Betty Snodgrass of Greenville, Lena Snodgrass of Greenville and Pat Snodgrass of Jamestown; nine grandchildren, Morgan and Abigail Roberts of Hadley, Courtnie, Kaiden and Kanyon Roberts of Clarks Mills and Alexis, Dustin, and twins, Addison and Alivia Miller of Cochranton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Mark A. Roberts; a sister, Jean Polley; and seven brothers, Everett Snodgrass, Edward Snodgrass, Lyle Snodgrass, Donald Snodgrass, Vern Snodgrass, Wayne Snodgrass and Dean Snodgrass.
Friends may call at Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 3223 Perry Highway, Sheakleyville, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to share memories and condolences with the family online at rlsfh.com.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Russell Hines officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Hadley Cemetery.
The family has suggested that memorial tributes may be made to the American Heart Association, 823 Filmore St., Erie, Pa. 16505.
