Irene M. Frisina, 84, of 11000 Cervone Drive, Meadville, passed away at 6:31 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at 313 W. Jamestown Road, Jamestown.
Born June 2, 1925, in Sharon, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Lonski) Balut. She married Anthony D. Frisina on Sept. 25, 1959; he preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1996.
She was a 1944 graduate of Penn High School, Greenville. She retired from American Viscose Corp., Meadville.
She attended St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening and sewing.
She is survived by a sister, Margaret Simmons of Meadville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; a sister, Matilda Renwick; and a brother, Walter Balut.
There will be calling hours or service. Cremation will take place.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society or donor’s choice.
