Lloyd E. (Grumpie) Ramp


HADLEY — Lloyd E. (Grumpie) Ramp, 73, of 242 Lake Road, Hadley (Sandy Creek Township) passed away at 2:46 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at the White Cliff Nursing Home, Greenville.

Lloyd was born in Greenville on Oct. 12, 1936, a son of the late Earl J. and Isabelle Harry Ramp. On Nov. 30, 1956, he married the former Phyllis J. Seger, who survives.

He was of the Methodist faith.

Lloyd was a truck driver for many years and had subsequently worked for Smock Heating and Plumbing of Meadville

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed fishing in the Carolinas.

In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by his son, James Ramp and his wife, Theresa Lucille, of Hadley; a sister, Ruby Johnston of Hadley; and two grandchildren, Jason Ramp and Kaitlin Ramp.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home Ltd., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville. The Rev. Steven Lamb, pastor of Sheakleyville United Methodist Church, will officiate.

The committal service and interment will follow in Hadley Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
