Donna R. Morell, 72, of Lippert Road, Meadville, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at her residence.
Born July 19, 1937, in Jackson Township, Venango County, she was a daughter of Forrest and Florence Hill Moorhead. She married Paul Morell on Sept. 27, 1958, and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2004.
She was an operator for Bell Telephone and Alltel beginning in 1954 and retired in 1981.
She enjoyed swimming and was a member of the Meadville YMCA. She was also a member of the Eat and Travel Club as part of the Meadville Senior Center.
She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey P. Morell and his wife, Margaret, of Cochranton, and James E. Morell and his wife, Billy Jo, of Meadville; two brothers, Gary Moorhead and his wife, Peggy, of Cochranton, and Thornley Moorhead and his wife, Nancy, of Illinois; a stepbrother, Richard Porter and his wife, Kay, of Lansing, Mich.; and two grandchildren, Curtis and Meaghan.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Henry; a brother, Wayne Moorhead; and a stepsister, Barbara Moffit.
Friends may call at Dickson Family Funeral Home Inc. 123 S. Franklin St. Cochranton, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. J. Harvey Boal of Cochranton Presbyterian Church officiating.
