LAKELAND, Fla. —

LAKELAND, Fla. — Glenn W. Ridgeway, 75, of Lakeland, Fla., died Saturday, July 10, 2010, at home following a sudden and unanticipated illness.

Born in Meadville on June 7, 1935, he was a son of Donald and Ethel E. Ridgeway. He was married to Katherine Snyder.

He attended Meadville High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from the University of Maryland and Greentree Group Homes.

He enjoyed his grandchildren, warm weather, his hammock, his pool and watching NASCAR.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Snyder; three daughters, Karen Szczepkowski, Charlene Keefe and Stacey Garrison; a sister, Margaret Ridgeway Henry and her husband, James; four brothers, Walter E. Ridgeway and his wife, Pat, David C. Ridgeway and his wife, Elma, Edward K. Ridgeway and his wife, Betty Jo, and Ardean L. Ridgeway and his wife, Cindy; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Ridgeway and Mrs. Daryl (Kathy) Ridgeway; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald P. (Bud) Ridgeway; a sister, Carol Ridgeway Moffit; a brother, Daryl A. (Butch) Ridgeway; a brother-in-law, Mike Moffit; and a grandchild.

The service was conducted July 16 at Crystal Lake United Methodist Church, Lakeland.
