ESPYVILLE —
Robert (Bob) Stanley, 71, of Espyville, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013, at his residence.
Born Oct. 27, 1941, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Felix and Christine Johnson Stanley. He served our country in the U.S. Navy.
Bob was a member of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church in Linesville and was a fourth degree knight with the Knights of Columbus Council 6037. Also, he was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Andover Aerie 4035, and the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club in Linesville.
In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Survivors include a daughter, Bobbie Ann Boyce; a grandson, Brandon Boyce; two sisters, Stephanie (Sis) Gonsar and her husband, Ralph, and Christine Stanley Nesbit; a brother, David Stanley; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Anna Marie Stanley; a brother, Thomas Stanley; and a brother-in-law, Frank Nesbit.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville, with Father Denny J. Veltri as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Philip Cemetery with full military honors provided by Huidekoper Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006.
