SAEGERTOWN — Wallace W. Cornell, 95, formerly of Meadville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.

He was born June 2, 1917, in Beaver Center, a son of George Cornell and Nellie Everdin Cornell. He married Carolyn Bowman in September of 1962; she preceded him in death on July 22, 2004.

He worked as a machine operator at American Viscose for 37 years and was also a self-employed farmer.

He was a member of the Meadville Elks Club.

Wallace is survived by two daughters, Donna Sparks of Phoenix, Ariz., and Joyce Baker of Atlantic; one son, Eugen Cornell and his wife, Dorothy, of Conneautville; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Carolyn, he was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Edward Cornell; and four sisters.

Per Wallace’s wishes their will be no calling hours or services.

Burial will take place in Spring Cemetery, Springboro.
