MEADVILLE —
Richard Ronald Pusbach, 79, of Meadville, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at his residence.
He was born July 31, 1933, at Meadville, a son of the late William Henry Pusbach and Dora Durphy Pusbach. He married Ilajean Lena Swogger on July 18, 1964. She survives.
He had attended Randolph Central High School in Randolph, N.Y. He had been employed as a forger helper, retiring in 1993 after 23 years of service.
He was of the Methodist faith. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Meadville Aerie 429; he enjoyed mowing yards and helping others. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and going places and the time spent with his granddaughter, Chelsea Pusbach.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 48 years, Ilajean Pusbach of Meadville, are two sons, Richard Pusbach and his wife, Martina, of Maysville, Ga., and Scott Pusbach and his wife, Christine, of Meadville; a granddaughter, Chelsea Pusbach of Maysville, Ga.; three stepgrandchildren, Brian Dillaman, of Orlando, Kevin Dillaman and his wife, Delores, of New Burn, N.C., and Jody Dillaman and his wife, Tracie, of Knightdale, N.C.; and a brother, Carl Pusbach of Westfield, N.Y. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Moss; and three brothers, Robert Pusbach, Walter Pusbach and Lawrence Hunt.
The family would like to thank the Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute and the Crawford County Hospice for their care given to Richard and his family.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Temple Jarrell of New Beginnings Church of God officiating.
Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
