CENTERVILLE — Susan Irene Martin, 42, resident of 36529 Tryonville Road, Centerville, died Friday, March 1, 2013, in a traffic accident. Susan was accompanied in death by a son, Melvin Dale, age 3 years and 7 months. He was born on July 28, 2009, in Greenville.

Born in Columbiana, Ohio, on Sept. 6, 1970, Susan was the daughter of Clarence and Edith Steiner Horst of Mousie, Ky. On Sept. 6, 1991, she married Wesley Ray Martin, and he survives.

She accepted Christ as her saviour and was baptized in her youth. She was a faithful member of Blooming Valley Mennonite Fellowship at the time of her death.

In addition to her husband and parents, Susan is survived by seven sons and one daughter, Curtis, Edwin, Nathan, Steven, Marcus, Jewel, Karl and Daniel, all of Centerville; six brothers, John and his wife, Lorene, of Townville, Jesse and his wife, Esther, of Rochester, Wash., David and his wife, Christine, of Willis, Va., Timothy and his wife, Karen, of Dublin, Ga., Robert and his wife, Abbie, of Pueblo, Calif., and Junito of Mousie; seven sisters, Carol and her husband, Lloyd Mast, of Beloit, Wis., Esther and her husband, David, Tubac of Hindman, Ky., Lillian and her husband, Ronald Steiner, of Augusta, Wis., Loretta and her husband, Noah Derstine, of Lena, Wis., Rachel and her husband, Jerry Witmer, of Alturas, Calif., Mary and her husband, Sheridan Baer, of Coaldale, Alberta, Canada, Marilyn and her husband, Vernon Miller, of Coaldale; and her maternal grandmother, Esther Steiner of Dalton, Ohio.

Friends may call at French Creek Mennonite Church, State Route 408, Cambridge Springs, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10 at New Beginnings Church, Leslie Road, Meadville.

Interment will be in Blooming Valley Mennonite Fellowship Cemetery.

Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs is assisting the family with arrangements.
