Sarah (Sally) Haney, 79, of North Cottage Street, Meadville, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, in Erie.

Born Dec. 11, 1929, in Verona, she was a daughter of Carl and Madeline Oliver Grazier. She married Harold Alan Haney on June 14, 1947.

She worked at the Alba Restaurant of Meadville many years ago, then retired as a homemaker.

She was affiliated with New Beginnings Church of God in Meadville.

She enjoyed church interactions, and family was very important to her. She also loved reading and music.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Harold Haney of Meadville; two daughters, Tania Bowman and her husband, John, of Meadville, and Susan Allen of Meadville; two sons, Stanley Haney and his wife, Sukey, of Holden, Mass., and Ralph Haney and his wife, Luba, of Petaluma, Calif.; and seven grandchildren, Kevin Belknap, Jeff Bowman, Kimberly Allen, Stephen Haney, Allison Haney, Hannah Koyfman and Ben Cohen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dorothy and Janey; and a brother, Norman.

Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin St. Meadville.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at New Beginnings Church of God, Meadville, with Pastor Temple Jerrell and Pastor Harold Ferraro of New Beginnings Church of God officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetary.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Beginnings Church of God Children’s Program, 13226 Leslie Road, Meadville, Pa. 16335; or Meadville Public Library, 848 N. Main St., Meadville, Pa. 16335.
