LINESVILLE —
Helen A. Keches, 88, of Linesville, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community in Meadville.
Born Oct. 7, 1924, in Barberton, Ohio, she was a daughter of John and Mary Kuric Keches.
She worked as an accounting clerk for Ohio Rubber in Conneautville and retired in 1987 after 29 years of service.
Helen was a member of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church in Linesville. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Quilting Ladies at the church. For many years, she helped at the Linesville Food Pantry. In her spare time, she enjoyed her flower gardens.
Survivors include six brothers, Amil Keches of White Oak, Mike Keches of Meadville, Pete Keches of Lock Haven, John Keches of Meadville, George Keches and his wife, Mary, of Forest Hills, and Harry Keches of Palos Verdes, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and four sisters-in-law, Madlyn Keches, Marjorie Keches, Frances Keches and Kathryn Keches.
Calling hours will be Thursday from noon until 2 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
A funeral service will follow the calling hours on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with Father Steve Anderson of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church of Conneaut Lake officiating.
Burial will be private in St. Philip Cemetery in Linesville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Helen’s name to St. Philip Church, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville, Pa. 16424; or the Wesbury Benevolent Fund, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, Pa. 16335.
