MEADVILLE — Sarah J. Zarecki, 76, of 18369 Southwood Drive, Meadville (Union Township), passed away at her residence at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, following a period of failing health.

Sarah was born in Pine Township, Armstrong County, on Feb. 10, 1936, a daughter of the late Simon Eugene and Josephine Atherton Anderson. On June 20, 1975, she married David Zarecki who survives.

She had been employed as a waitress for many years at the former Kmart Restaurant, Meadville, following which she retired.

She was an active member of Mumford Chapel United Methodist Church, Cochranton, where she enjoyed the friendship and fellowship with her church family.

In addition to her husband of 37 years, she is survived by a son, Mark Yont Sr. and his wife, Telisha, of Meadville; a brother, James Anderson; lifelong friends, Jean and Howard Toy of Worthington; four grandchildren, Laura Yont, Mark Yont Jr., Rayve Yont and Chanse Yont; three nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William Kline Jr.; and a brother, Incel Anderson.

Friends may call at Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 3223 Perry Highway, Sheakleyville, on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. and are invited to share memories and condolences with the family online at rlsfh.com.

The funeral and committal service will be on Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Christine Rogan, pastor of Mumford Chapel, officiating.

The interment will follow at Mumford Chapel Cemetery.

The family has suggested that memorial tributes may be made to the family through the funeral home.
