David B. Haas

SAEGERTOWN — David B. Haas, 50, of Saegertown, formerly of Titusville, died unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010.

David was born on Sept. 11, 1959, in Titusville, a son of Betty Wallace Haas and the late Robert F. Haas.

He was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1977. Following graduation from high school, he entered the U.S. Air Force until his honorable discharge in 1981. He later attended Prescott College in Arizona.

David had been employed at Home Depot in Meadville and most recently was self-employed as a contractor.

He was a very talented photographer and woodworker. He enjoyed kayaking, golfing, reading, snowboarding and cross country skiing.

David is survived by his mother of Titusville; his brother, Donald R. Haas of Bradford; his sister, Debra A. Spence and her husband, Wayde, of Meadville; his nephew, Adam M. McKee of Florida; and his aunt, Patricia A. Wallace of Florida.

He will be missed by his family and many good friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, Pa. A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy Maybray, pastor of the Titusville Free Methodist Church, officiating.

The family asks that memorials be made to the Titusville Free Methodist Church, 42490 State Hwy. 27, Titusville, Pa. 16354; Benson Memorial Library, 213 N. Franklin St., Titusville, Pa. 16354; or to the charity of one’s choice.
