ERIE —
Sarah A. (Sally) Dwyer, 80, of Erie and formerly of Bradford, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Saint Vincent Health Center.
She was born in Bradford on April 20, 1932, a daughter of the late Raymond and Genevieve MacMaster Dwyer.
While in Bradford, she worked for AT&T in the clerical department, retiring after 30 years.
She enjoyed, sewing, quilting, knitting, painting and other crafts. During her retirement years, Sally volunteered with the after-school program at St. Bernard’s Grade School.
She is survived by two sisters, Sister Mary Ellen Dwyer, SSJ, of Erie, and Marian Vorp and her husband, Robert, of Chautauqua Lake, N.Y.; a brother, James R. Dwyer of Orchard Park, N.Y.; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Memorial Mass will be at St. Bernard’s Church, Bradford, in the spring 2013 when family and friends will celebrate Sally’s life.
Donations in Sally’s memory may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Northwestern Pennsylvania, 5031 W. Ridge Road, Erie, Pa. 16506.
