Elizabeth S. Burton

GREENVILLE — Elizabeth S. Burton, 91, of 102 Hollywood Blvd., Hempfield Township, formerly of 41 Columbia Ave., Greenville, passed away at 7:50 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at St. Paul Homes.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, on July 27, 1918, she was the daughter of William Shober and Gretchen (Topliff) Shober. She married Clarence E. Burton on Aug. 27, 1938; he preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1988.

She was a graduate of Waite High School in Toledo. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Clement’s Episcopal Church, Greenville, where she was a member of the Women’s Guild and the Altar Guild.

She enjoyed crocheting for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Margery R. Luckock and her husband, Fred, of Monongahela, and Sybilla Boger and her husband, Ralph Boger Jr., of Greenville; three grandchildren, Fred Luckock, Douglas Luckock and Ralph Boger III; and two great-grandchildren, Connor Luckock and Samantha Luckock.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William Burton; and a grandson, Robert Borger.

Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Loutzenhiser-Jordan Colonial Funeral Home, 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.

The funeral and committal service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lynn Orville, priest in charge of St. Clement’s Episcopal Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery.

Donations may be made to St. Clement’s Episcopal Church, 103 Clinton St., Greenville, Pa. 16125.
