CONNEAUTVILLE — Richard Charles Hubbard, 74, of 22383 Reeds Corner Road, Conneautville, passed away at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, on Wednesday, March 10, 2010.

He was born May 1, 1935, in Oil City, to the late Clifford Hubbard and Minnie Frantz Hubbard. On Dec. 17, 1971, he married Kathleen Enright Nicolls Hubbard and she survives.

He was retired as owner/operator of Hubbard Bus Service.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen, of 38 years, of Conneautville; a daughter, Rhoda Swails and her husband, Guy, of Titusville; three sons, Jerry Nicolls and his wife, Susan, of Erie, James Nicolls of Meadville, and Mark Hubbard of Conneautville; six grandchildren, Lisa Edwards, Cheyanne Hubbard, Andrew Curtiss, John Curtiss, Emily Curtiss and Tony Curtiss; a great-grandson; a brother, Robert Hubbard and his wife, Betty, of Franklin; a sister, Dorothy Hubbard of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Betty Fratus, Ruth DeLong and Helen Hettrick; and an infant brother, LeRoy Hubbard.

Friends may call on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St. Conneautville.

The memorial service will be announced at a later time.

Interment will be private.

Arrangements are being handled by White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St. Conneautville.

The family requests memorials be made to Visiting Nurse Association of Crawford County, 747 Terrace St., Meadville, Pa. 16335; or Hospice of Crawford County, 448 Pine St. Meadville, Pa. 16335.
