CARTERSVILLE, Ga. — Ruth Marie Endress, 85, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at her Cartersville, Ga., home.

She was born March 11, 1927, in Grandview, Idaho, to Claude Frank Wallace and Evoline Elizabeth Bee. Ruth has three brothers, Robert Claude Wallace of Elma, Wash., James Frank Wallace (deceased), and Loren A. Wallace of Boise, Idaho.

She married Rudolph George Endress in Boise in 1944 and was his companion until his death in 1979. They resided near Springboro, with Ruth enjoying Erie and Cartersville following her retirement.

Ruth is survived by her three children, Anton George (Nancy) Endress of Escondido, Calif., Claudia Marie Matz of Erie, and Robert Francis (Sharon) Endress of White, Ga. Grandchildren include Gregory (Amy) Endress of Belchertown, Mass., Bryan (Maren) Endress of Escondido, Calif., Jessica (Peter) Goodman of Naples, Italy, and Christine Matz of Dublin, Ireland. Ruth also has six great-grandchildren.

A private family memorial service was held June 5 at Owen Funeral Home in Cartersville.

Interment is planned for 11 a.m. on July 28 at Spring Cemetery, followed by a memorial celebration at 24200 N. Hilltop Road, Springboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made in Ruth’s name to the Springboro Public Library, Meadville Medical Center Auxiliary and the Booth Western Art Museum, Cartersville, Ga.
