SANDY LAKE —
Naomi Joyce Sittig, 74, of Smith Road, Sandy Lake, French Creek Township, passed away at 1:35 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Meadville Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born May 28, 1938, in Grove City, she was a daughter of John T. and Sara E. Smith Snyder.
Joyce was a 1956 Grove City High School graduate and then she worked as a secretary at the former Cooper-Bessemer of Grove City.
Most of all Joyce was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family as a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed.
She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed playing cards, cooking and baking.
Her husband, Harry George Sittig, whom she married on Dec. 4, 1969, survives at home. Also surviving are two daughters, Cheryl Young of Meadville, and Bobbie Jo Nemeth and her husband, Bill, of Cochranton; three sons, James C. Sittig and his wife, Brenda, of Goldsboro, N.C., Jeffery A. Northcott and his wife, Hae Young, of Seoul, South Korea, and Scott B. Northcott and his wife, Beth, of Cochranton; 14 grandchildren, Dustin, Chris and Brian Sittig, Jerod, Cody and Ryan Northcott, Sara Young, Matt Northcott, Kendra and Logan Nemeth and Jason, Jamie, Justin and Ashley Northcott; two great-grandchildren, Tessa Northcott and Riley Sittig; also a sister, Dena L. Uber of Grove City; and two nieces, Debbie Hartman of Grove City and Julie Myers of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John Sittig; and a daughter Theresa Northcott.

Calling hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Scott A. Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro.
The funeral is Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. James P. Leuenberger, interim pastor at North Liberty Presbyterian Church, Grove City, officiating.
Interment and committal service will be in Cochranton Cemetery.
