LEECHBURG —
Rodney W. Koehler Jr., 57, of Lincoln Avenue, Leechburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at 1:40 p.m. at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.
Born in Meadville on Feb. 12, 1955, he was a son of Rodney W. Koehler Sr. and Rose Pero Koehler. His wife, Barbara Diane Smith Koehler, preceded him in death March 23, 2012.
He was a 1973 graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School. He was employed as an electrical technician for Prominent Fluid Controls of Pittsburgh for 13 years.
He was a member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Leechburg. Mr. Koehler enjoyed cooking, especially Italian cuisine. He was the world’s best father to his children.
Survivors include two sons, Nathaniel Dingle of San Diego, Calif., and Rodney W. Koehler III of Leechburg; two daughters, Crystal M. Gorman (Jeremy) of Pittsburgh and Andrianna N. Thompson (Michael Jr.) of Lower Burrell; three grandchildren, Aidan, Kianna and Rylee Gorman; two brothers, Joseph Koehler (Lucy) of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Jesse Koehler (Kimberly) of Atlanta, Ga.; and a sister, Carrie Williams of Meadville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
There will be no public visitation.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend his memorial ceremony on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Clawson Funeral Home Inc., 170 Main St., Leechburg. Officiating will be the Rev. Gary J. Lyon, pastor of Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church, Leechburg.
