CANADOHTA LAKE —
Daniel W. Blobner, 53, of Canadohta Lake, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at his residence.
Born May 7, 1959, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Dolores Uszko Blobner and the late Anthony J. Blobner, and the husband of Patricia Flaherty.
He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Chapel, Canadohta Lake. Daniel worked for many years as a journeyman in heating and air conditioning. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Worker’s Union, and an avid Steelers and Penguins fan. Daniel had a contagious laugh, with a willingness to help anyone. He was also a DJ, with a love of song and dance.
In addition to his beloved wife and mother, he is survived by brothers Robert Blobner and wife, Nancy, of Brandon, Fla., David Blobner of Glenshaw, and Michael Blobner and wife, Roslyn, of Glenshaw; sisters, Joann Lentz and husband, Richard, of Brandon, Diane Nellis of Glenshaw, and Christine Powell and husband, Kevin, of Flagler Beach, Fla. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Kurt J. Nellis.
Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Morgan-Pandolph Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 75 N. Main St., Union City.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Chapel, with Father Tom Suppa as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ALS of Western Pennsylvania. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Shaler Class of ’77 for their support and generosity.
