MEADVILLE — Mary Elizabeth Porfilio, 66, of Meadville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born May 25, 1946, in Meadville, a daughter of Dominic Porfilio and Elizabeth Roach Porfilio.

She was of the Catholic faith and had attended St. Mary of Grace Church, she had a very strong faith and love of God.

She liked to sing, draw and spend time with her family. She enjoyed her family and her caregivers over the years and will be greatly missed by all; she loved her children and her family unconditionally. She was blessed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her father, Dominic Porfilio of Meadville; a son, Nic Porfilio of Meadville; a daughter, Theresa Frangione and her husband, Jeffrey, of Lakewood, N.Y.; three granddaughters, Nichole and Richelle Porfilio, and Alexandria Frangione, two grandsons, Joshua and Anthony Frangione; a great-grandson, Jackson Frangione; three sisters, Donna Glover and her husband, David, Rose Porfilio, and Janet Taylor and her husband, Dean, all of Meadville; and a niece, Silver Glover.

She was preceded in death by her mother; a son, Bryan Shoffner; a sister, Janice Porfilio; and a brother, Guy Porfilio.

Arrangements are private and at the convenience of the family.
