MEADVILLE — Nellie Marie Kramer, 90, formerly of Cochranton, and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community for the past three years, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at UPMC Hamot.

Born June 17, 1922, in Greenville, she was a daughter of William and Nellie Crawford McKinley. She married Wallace A. Kramer on April 23, 1944, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 2004.

She was a homemaker and also sold Stanley Home Products.

Nellie belonged to the Do It Yourself Club in Meadville, the Go For Fun Camping Club, volunteered at Meadville Medical Center and also at the Home Show Building at the Cochranton Fair, and she was also know as “Hershey” because of her sweet tooth.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Marie Gardone and her husband, Anthony, of Cochranton, and Pamela Micosky and her husband, Mitch, of Meadville; four grandchildren, Thomas and Michael Gardone of Cochranton, Shaunna Rushing and her husband, Brandon, of Charlotte, N.C., and Steven Fontaine of Meadville; two stepgrandchildren, Kristy and Chad; and a great-grandson, Peyton Rushing.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Jon and Edward Kramer; two brothers, Clarence and George McKinley; two sisters, Kathryn Nelson and Martha Vaughn; and an infant brother, William.

Friends will be received at Dickson Family Funeral Home Inc., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ellen Rezek, chaplain at Wesbury, officiating.

Interment will be in Cochranton Cemetery.

The family asks that memorials be made to the Meadville Community Theatre, PO Box, 330, Meadville, Pa. 16335; or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Western Pennsylvania Chapter, 1501 Reedsdale Road, Suite 105, Pittsburgh Pa. 15233.
