SAEGERTOWN — Darlene E. Dahl, 68, of 20881 State Highway 198, Saegertown, formerly of 17707 S. Mead Road, Saegertown, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.

Darlene was born in Beckley, W.Va., on Aug. 5, 1944, a daughter of the late Irene Patton.

On Feb. 25, 1968, Darlene married James A. Dahl, who preceded her in death on March 3, 2008.

She was a very active member of Calvary Baptist Church, Meadville, where she served as the director of children’s ministry and was a member of the church choir. She was a graduate of both Moody Bible Institute and Cedarville University. Darlene loved to sing and she enjoyed being an advocate of good nutrition.

Darlene is survived by two sons, Craig A. Dahl and his wife, Amy, and Stephen James Dahl, all of Saegertown; and three grandchildren, Alexa Dahl, Conner Dahl and Adam Dahl.

In addition to her mother and her husband, James, of 40 years, Darlene was preceded in death by two sisters, June Tennant and Joyce Higdon.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 543 Randolph St., Meadville, where funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Douglas Messerall, pastor, officiating.

Interment will take place in Venango Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 543 Randolph St., Meadville, Pa. 16335.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown.
