MEADVILLE —

Margaret (Peg) D. Crick, 88, of Meadville, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born on Dec. 13, 1924, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Ivor and Edna Higgins Davies. She married John A. (Jack) Crick on July 3, 1943, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 1996.

Peg was a 1942 graduate of Perry High School, Pittsburgh. She was employed by Verizon Telephone Company for 29 years.

A member of the First Presbyterian Church, Peg was a member of the Verizon Telephone Pioneers and formerly served as president of both the local and state chapters. She enjoyed making and selling ceramics, traveling and camping with her family, and she especially loved her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, John A. Crick Jr. and his wife, Cris, of Meadville; three daughters, Lynne Crick of Meadville, Amanda Crick of Albuquerque, N.M., and Beverly Sadler and her husband, Terry, of Cambridge Springs; two grandchildren, Rachael and Josh Sadler; a niece, Karen Puff of Washington; and three nephews, Bob Fisher of Penn Hills, Walt Jesteadt of Omaha, Neb., and Ivor Kraft of San Diego.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ivorah Fisher, Joyce Jesteadt and Jane Kraft; and a brother, Ralph Davies.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral service will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Highwood Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
