Leola M. Clark




EDINBORO — Leola M. Clark, 82, of Edinboro and a former Kingsville, Ohio, resident, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Millcreek Community Hospital in Erie.

She was born Oct. 26, 1927, in Ashtabula, Ohio, a daughter of Louis Franklin and Ola Mae Schmidt Palmer.

She spent her winters in Naples, Fla., and her summers at Canadohta Lake. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing cards, cooking and she was known for her cabbage rolls.

Surviving her is her husband of 14 years, George Clark, whom she married June 10, 1995; two daughters, Aldine Roxberry of Naples, Fla., and Kristie (Tom Drake) Lechefsky of Edinboro; two sons, Jerry (Jane) Davis of Jacksonville, N.C., and Mark Davis of Naples; four stepchildren, Raymond Cedar of Ashtabula, Barry Cedar of California, Judy Andrejak of Ashtabula and Barb Edixon of Kingsville, Ohio; 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Richard Palmer of Tennessee, Robert Palmer of California, Harry Prine of Jefferson, Ohio, and Delno Prine of Ashtabula; and a son-in-law, Mark Adams, of Union City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Harry Prine; her first husband, Howard Davis; her second husband, Paul Cedar; a son, Paul Davis; a daughter, Penny Adams; two granddaughters, Cathy Davis and Theresa Summers; two brothers, Paul Palmer and Charles Prine; and two sisters, Ella Jean Palmer and Eleanor Ann Prine.

Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula.

The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio.
