Boyd E. Waring




LINESVILLE — Boyd E. Waring, 61, of Linesville, passed away suddenly on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Meadville Medical Center.

Born April 11, 1948, in Meadville, he was a son of Wayne and Pauline Winch Waring. He married Sarah McGuire on Dec. 31, 1971.

He was a 1966 graduate of Linesville High School. Boyd then served our country in the U.S. Air Force for more than 20 years and retired in 1987. He was a staff sergeant and served in several locations overseas. Then for more than 20 years he drove bus for Warren Brothers, which is now Anderson Coach and Travel.

Boyd was a member of Linesville First Baptist Church and served on the mission board. Also he had attended Christian leadership school with others from the church.

He enjoyed fly fishing, plane and train models, kit airplanes, traveling, and going to steam engine shows and county fairs. He was an avid reader and Civil War, World War II and Vietnam history buff. He was a very sociable person and just enjoyed life to the fullest. Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Sarah Waring; his son, Jason Waring and his wife, Jennifer, of Meadville; his daughter, Angela Waring Ball and her husband, D.C. Ball II, of Conneautville; three grandchildren, Reggie, Maxwell and Vanessa Waring; a brother, Dennis Waring and his significant other, Sharon, of Louisiana; two sisters, Ellen Hedden of Florida and Enabelle Waring of Florida; and many nieces and nephews, and much extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Linesville First Baptist Church, 6114 U.S. Highway 6.

Full military honors will follow at the church, provided by Meadville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006.

As per his wishes, cremation will then follow.

The family suggests memorials be made to Linesville First Baptist Church, Missions Board, PO Box 387, Linesville, Pa. 16424.
