MARIETTA, Ga. — Peter J. Albertini Sr., 88, of Marietta, Ga. passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2009.
He was born in New Haven, Conn., on Aug. 18, 1921, a son of Felice and Suzie Albertini.
He was a U.S. Navy pilot serving in World War II and worked for Talon Inc. for 35 years. He retired in Marietta in 1984.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy; sister, Nancy DiPalma; and brother, Larry.
In addition to his wife, Lorene, he is survived by his two sons, Peter and Glenn; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in Sandy Plains Baptist Church, 2825 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Metropolitan Hospice, 200 Village Parkway, Marietta, Ga. 30067.
Arrangements are being handled by Cremation Society of the SOUTH in Marietta.
