LITTLETON, Colo. — Ormal J. Jones, 84, of Littleton, Colo., died Monday, June 8, 2009, in Lakewood, Colo.
Ormal was born in Cambridge Springs, March 23, 1925, a son of the late Ormal W. and Nellie A. Sutton Jones.
Ormal Jones served in the U.S. Navy for four years.
Ormal was a resident of Cambridge Springs for several years and worked at Pennsylvania Tool and Gauges until 1963 when he moved to Northglenn, Colo.
He retired from Gates Rubber Company in 1984 and resided in Littleton. Ormal is survived by his wife, Dorothy E. Powell Jones, married for 62 years. He is survived by a brother, Arnold Jack Jones and his wife, Betty Crowe Jones.
He is survived by three children, Kay Williams and her husband, Gary Williams, of Wheatridge, Colo., Jan Roundy and her husband, Fran Roundy, of Crossville, Tenn., and Tom Jones and his wife, Brenda Black Jones, of Blooming Valley; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was conducted June 11 at Fort Logan Veteran Cemetery in Littleton. The service began with military honors, grandson, Jay Winter, presented the eulogy and son-in-law, Fran Roundy, closed in prayer.
