Mary F. Ditzenberger



TRANSFER — Mary F. Ditzenberger, 64, of 1425 Rutledge Road, Pymatuning Township, Transfer, passed away at 12:18 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at her residence.

She was born in Mercer on Sept. 18,1944, a daughter of Forrest Hollibaugh and Helen J. Dunn Hollibaugh. She married George A. Ditzenberger on Oct. 2, 1965; he survives at home.

She was a 1962 graduate of Randolph East Mead High School, Guys Mills; a 1965 graduate of Spencer School of Nursing; and a graduate of St. Elizabeth’s Anesthesia School. She retired in 2006 from Toledo General Hospital, where she was employed for 10 years as a nurse anesthetist. She was previously employed as a nurse anesthetist at Greenville Regional Hospital for 20 years.

She was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church of Greenville.

She was a strong supporter of the Humane Society. Mary enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Jason B. Ditzenberger and his wife, Jeannette, of Pittsburgh, and Michael B. Ditzenberger and his wife, Melissa, of Conneaut Lake; two sisters, Cindy Allen of Cochranton and Myrtle Hollibaugh of Meadville; and two grandchildren, Daniel O. Ditzenberger and Rachel A. Ditzenberger.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Shirley Woolstrum

Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Loutzenhiser-Jordan Colonial Funeral Home, 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 85 N. High St., Greenville, with Monsignor Andrew H. Karg, pastor of St. Michael’s, as celebrant. Burial with committal will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Greenville.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15205.
