DAY 28: Breast Cancer Journal

New position

Well, I have been in my new position for two months now and for everything I start I expand on and develop 10 more areas that I want to work with, for and learn.

It is a whirlwind of activity and I am enjoying the opportunity to extend myself with new challenges and open new learning avenues.

I have lived in Meadville most of my life and each day brings new insights.

My days and nights and weekends are consumed with my new mission and I hope that somewhere along the way I can make a difference.

There is so much to learn despite being a breast cancer patient myself.

Suffice to say things are changing.

If I had a dream list it would be that all women would know the significance of breast self exam and would value themselves enough to take the time to do it.

I recently learned of a friend’s daughter who, at 23, was just diagnosed with breast cancer.

I would like to see that this disease could be eliminated and that prevention would be the primary focus for all of us.

I would like to see that all who are struggling with the disease have the support that they need.
