Magisterial District Judge

- Richard A. Zimmerman, 44, of 2951 N. First St., Jamestown, was arraigned Sunday before Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm on a charge of arrest prior to requisition by other authorities filed by Pennsylvania State Police. Zimmerman is wanted by authorities in Trumbull County, Ohio, on drug paraphernalia charges. He was placed in the Crawford County jail in lieu of $25,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Monday.

- Michele D. Holt, 27, of 1117 S. Cottage St., Meadville, was arraigned Sunday before Chisholm on charges of theft by receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking, resisting arrest and a summary count. Meadville Police filed the charges for an incident Sunday. She was placed in the Crawford County jail in lieu of $10,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Monday.



Linesville Area

Magisterial District Judge

- Robert A. Bercis, 32, of 6732 Snodgrass Road, Jamestown, waived his right to a preliminary hearing March 8 before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood on Pennsylvania State Police charges of two counts of driving under the influence and one summary traffic offense for an incident Jan. 30 and was released on his own recognizance.

- Kathy L. Stahlnecker, 39, of 1875 Pilgrim Lane, Espyville, waived her right to a preliminary hearing March 9 on Conneaut Lake Regional Police Department charges of two counts of driving under the influence and one summary traffic offense for an incident Feb. 19 and was released on her own recognizance.



Crashes

State Police

- A Saegertown woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 19 in Union Township at 2:13 p.m. Friday. Betty A. Walters, 62, of Meadville, was driving south and had stopped waiting to make a left turn. Walters’ car was struck from behind by a car driven by Evron L. Householder, 87, of Saegertown. Walters was released after treatment at Meadville Medical Center. She wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. Householder wasn’t injured and was wearing a seatbelt.

- There were no injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Route 322 at Linesville Road in South Shenango Township at 4:55 p.m. Thursday. David L. Griggs, 20, of Hartstown was driving east on Route 322 and turned left onto Linesville Road into the path of a truck, driven by Michael J. Schuwerk, 48, of Jamestown, that was driving west on Route 322. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

- Walter Schutz Jr., 41, no address listed, was driving on Route 408 in Richmond Township at 3 a.m. March 7 when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to travel off the road and strike a tree. Schutz was reportedly wearing a seatbelt and wasn’t injured. The vehicle sustained major damage. Charges are reportedly pending.



Crimes

State Police

- Someone stole a 22-year-old Titusville woman’s 1998 Plymouth Neon sedan from a Fairview Road, Rome Township location sometime between Nov. 1, 2009, and March 6. The car is described as being metallic blue in color. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police at Corry at (800) 922-1975 or (814) 663-2043.

- Someone entered a County Acres, East Mead Township residence and stole a PlayStation 3 game system, two “Dual Shock” controllers and five PlayStation 3 games sometime between 3:30 and 11 p.m. March 6. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call state police at Meadville at 332-6911.
