Magisterial District Judge

-Brenden T. Porter, 22, of Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the next term of court on two counts of driving under the influence and two summary charges. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Jan. 20 in Woodcock Township. He was released on his own recognizance.

-Robert D. Hollabaugh, 43, of Cambridge Springs, was held for a preliminary hearing and bound over to the next term of court on two counts of DUI and one summary charge. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident on Dec. 11, 2012, in Venango Township.



Crimes

State Police

-A 63-year-old Centerville woman reported a burglary in Rome Township between 12 p.m. Nov. 1, 2012, and 4 p.m. Feb. 11, according to state police. One or more unknown suspects reportedly entered an unlocked detached garage and stole an estimated $500 worth of items, including a Barnett Crossbow, a 16-gauge shotgun, a 9mm pistol and 50 pounds of copper tubing. The investigation continues.

-Jay M. Longo, 25, of Meadville, and Barbara J. Sackett, 44, of Conneaut Lake, are accused of shoplifting a cart full of undisclosed merchandise from a Dollar General in North Shenango Township at 2:22 p.m. Dec. 19, 2012, according state police. The two are charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy.



Crashes

State Police

-An unknown driver traveling north on Center Street Extension in Cambridge Township lost control on the snow-covered roadway and struck a metal gate and wooden post at 8:50 p.m. Feb. 8, according to state police. The driver reportedly fled the scene without notifying the property owner of the damage.
