Meadville Area

Magisterial District Judge

- Russell Woodrow of 9018 Perry Highway, Meadville, was arraigned Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm on Pennsylvania State Police charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver for an incident Jan. 15. Woodrow was released on his own recognizance. He faces a preliminary hearing Jan. 27.

- Chad K. McClain, 30, of 41 Asbury Manor East, Meadville, was arraigned Wednesday on state police charges of three counts each of possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver for incidents Sept. 17, 23 and Oct. 7, 2009. McClain was released on his own recognizance. He faces a preliminary hearing Jan. 27.



Titusville Area

Magisterial District Judge

- Wendy P. Gallo, 39, of 1108 Franklin St., White Oak, was bound over to the next term of court following a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Amy Nicols on charges of theft by deception and bad checks. Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges for an incident July 18, 2009. The charges were held for court since the defendant did not appear.



Vernon Township Area

Magisterial District Judge

- Duane E. Fitzsimmons, 27, of 18258 Rogers Ferry Road, Meadville, was bound over to the next term of court Jan. 20 before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi on Vernon Township Police Department charges of one count each of possession of a small amount of marijuana and use/possession of drug paraphernalia for an incident Aug. 2, 2009, and was released on $5,000 unsecured bond.

- Elizabeth M. Moore, 26, of 120 Scotts Crossing, Corry, waived her right to a preliminary hearing Jan. 20 on Vernon police charges of one count each of retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft for an incident Nov. 24, 2009, and was released on her own recognizance.

- Christopher T. Berdis, 26, of 120 Scotts Crossing, Corry, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Jan. 20 on Vernon police charges of one count each of retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft for an incident Nov. 24, 2009 and was released on her own recognizance.

- William W. Espy IV, 18, of 9860 Mercer Pike, Meadville, was bound over to the next term of court Jan. 21 on Vernon police charges of two counts of driving under the influence and three summary offenses for an incident Dec. 5, 2009 and was released on his own recognizance.

- Shawn M. Mendez, 25, of 329 Lincoln Ave., Meadville, was arraigned Jan. 21 on Vernon police charges of two counts each of possession with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance and one count each of delivery of cocaine and endangering the welfare of children for an incident Jan. 15 and was committed to Crawford County jail, Saegertown, in lieu of $60,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 1 at 10 a.m.



Crashes

State Police

- Robert G. Trautmann, 70, of Espyville, was driving east on West Center Road in Conneaut Township at 8:17 a.m. Jan. 18 when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to travel off the road and strike an embankment. Trautmann was reportedly wearing a seatbelt and wasn’t injured; the vehicle was towed from the scene.
