Crashes

State police

n Wahkuna T. Hoff, 24, of Spartansburg, was driving north on Route 89 in Oil Creek Township on Saturday at 12:15 a.m. when he swerved to avoid a deer on the road, causing the vehicle to leave the road, travel down an embankment and strike a fence post.

Found property

State police

n A wheelchair was found along Route 285 in the Espyville area. The owner can claim by identifying the wheelchair at the Pennsylvania State Police barracks in Meadville. Call 332-6911 for more information.

Crimes

n Someone stole 15 bottles of prescription medication from a Guys Mills man’s vehicle while it was parked at a Hayfield Township trailer park between 5 a.m. and 4 p.m. April 4. An investigation continues; anyone with information is asked to call state police at 332-6911.

n Someone forced open an equipment shed door at the Springboro Park ballfields in Springboro sometime between April 2 and 9. It was undetermined if any items were stolen.
