Crimes

State police

n Someone used a spare key to take a pickup truck from a Tryonville Road, Athens Township, property sometime around 10 p.m. Tuesday and returned the vehicle, which was found parked in a different place on the property, around 6 a.m. Wednesday.

n Someone trespassed onto an automotive repair company’s Tryonville Road, Steuben Township property and broke a window sometime between 6:30 p.m. June 19 and 11:30 a.m. June 20. An investigation continues.



Saegertown Area

Magisterial District Judge

n Duane R. Peterson, 25, of 18546 Birch Drive, Saegertown, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Lincoln S. Zilhaver on Pennsylvania State Police charges of one count each of criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, access device fraud and (illegal) possession of an access device for an incident March 4 and was recommitted to Crawford County jail, Saegertown, in lieu of $25,000 bond.



Meadville Area

Magisterial District Judge

n Gregory L. Robinson, 21, address listed as Crawford County Correctional Facility, Saegertown, was arraigned Friday before Linesville-area Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood, acting for Magisterial District Judge William D. Chisholm, on Meadville City Police Department charges of one count each of burglary, criminal trespass, criminal conspiracy, criminal attempt, criminal mischief and public drunkenness for an incident that day and was committed to Crawford County jail, Saegertown, in lieu of $25,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 6 at 10 a.m.

n Keeno L. Butler, 35, of 304 North St., Meadville, was arraigned Friday before Marwood, acting for Chisholm, on Meadville police charges of one count each of burglary, criminal trespass, criminal conspiracy, criminal attempt and criminal mischief for an incident that day and was committed to Crawford County jail, Saegertown, in lieu of $25,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 6 at 10 a.m.



Vernon Township Area

Magisterial District Judge

n Robert C. Moore Jr., 67, of 124 Smith St., Cochranton, pleaded guilty Monday before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rossi on a Cochranton Police Department charge of one count of harassment for an incident June 17 and was ordered to pay a total of $423.50 in fines and costs. A previously-filed charge of one count of simple assault was withdrawn.

n Jordan A. Merwin, 26, of 402 Willow St. Apt. H, Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Monday on Vernon Township Police Department charges of three misdemeanor counts of retail theft, one count of possession of a controlled substance and summary charges of one count each of retail theft and criminal mischief for an incident May 16 and was released on $20,000 unsecured bond.
