Meadville’s first trip to the PIAA Class AAA team golf championships has ended with a sixth place finish.
The Bulldogs finished with a team score of 337, 38 strokes back of Manheim Township, who captured the Class AAA state title for the second straight year.
Freshman Zack Ford led the Bulldogs with a 79 on the par 71 Heritage Hills Golf Course on Wednesday. Sophomore Charlie Holt fired a 9-over 80.
Class AAA individual champion Craig Hornberger of Manheim Township earned medalist honors with a 2-under-par 69.
